You are invited to the 1st annual meeting of the “Friends of the Depot” to celebrate the recent successes – and to help plan the next one!
Date: Sunday, May 20, 2012
Time: 2 – 4 p.m.
Place: Northfield Golf Club (directions & address)
The event will include:
- Time to share stories about the importance of the Northfield depot (including stories from Bob Will and Chip DeMann)
- Music by East Side Collective
- Summary of recent successes and toasts for future successes
- Brainstorming and discussion of how to fill gaps on the “to do” fundraising task list and people to contact
You and our other 100+ “friends” (those requesting to be on the mailing list) helped in the early tasks to identify the preferred site, uses, and site plan for the depot; removed the brush around the building; and supported efforts to secure city land for the new home for the depot.
Please come help plan and execute the next step: the fundraising campaign to finance the move and restoration.
