Save the Northfield Depot is offering tours of the depot on Saturday, Sept. 8, during Defeat of Jesse James Days. This is a great way to see the progress we’ve made on the restoration of Northfield’s 1888 depot.

The small group tours (5 per group) will be held every half hour between 9 a.m. and noonand 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Visitors will hear some depot history, view “before” images (i.e., the condition of the depot when we acquired from the railroad), and see the results of all of the repair activity taking place.

Tickets are free, but a $10 tax-deductible donation is suggested. Your donation will be used to continue the interior restoration (woodwork, flooring, and bathroom fixtures).

Tour reservations are required and can be made online or by phone:

  • Online using Eventbrite: Select the tour time, follow prompts, and complete your registration.
  • By phone: Call (810) 336-0336 and talk to Cheryl; she will be available Monday, Sept. 3 through Thursday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If she is unable to take your call, please leave your number so she can return your call.

We hope to see you at the depot!
