Eight years ago, the depot was moved off of railroad property to save it. The subsequent generosity of the community provided the critical combination of time, skills, and funding that has led to a new stage. The recent significant transition in the focus of the mission (i.e., from rehabilitation to utilization) made the 2023 year particularly exciting and rewarding. This shift in emphasis has added new tasks of managing the use of the depot and of securing the future role of the depot as a community asset.
